I was so happy to be a part of the Circle Carnival Media Team this year. What an amazing weekend celebrating Calgary's amazing food, art and music scene. The traveling Food, Beer & Music Carnival takes place at the Shaw Millennium Park in downtown Calgary. I have attended the festival as a guest before but this year was just soooo much better being able to capture family and friends enjoying music, art, wiener dog races, food trucks and so much more!!
The two stages presented by BASSBUS provides music throughout the weekend you are guaranteed to dance to! Some of my favourites were Lazy Syrup Orchestra, Kytami, The Librarian, KeysnKrates and of course the performances by Circus Act Insomniacs!
Food is such a huge part of Circle Carnival with over 10+ YYCFoodTrucks to choose from!! I would advise anyone to come hungry! With a site wide liquor license the entire festival acts as a beer garden so you can sip on a delicious brew from Village Brewery while you shop the many local vendors on site!
Grab the kids (& dogs!) on Saturday because Circle Carnival is family friendly during the day! Kids can enjoy LEGO land, a giant ball pit and can even take part in circus school! Don't miss the most anticipated event of the weened - The Fast & Furriest Wiener Dog Races! Who will be Calgary's fastest Weiner dog!?
