Julia & Barry’s wedding was such a sweet and needed reminder that wedding day’s don’t have to be large extravaganzas. The stress was left behind, and everyone was there to celebrate. Their wedding day couldn’t have been a more picture perfect October day in Alberta. The sun was shining through the trees, the leaves were still changing colours and it only got cold once the sun set.
ALBERTA FALL WEDDING AT HERITAGE RANCH IN RED DEER
Their wedding took place at Heritage Ranch, which is such a beautiful wedding venue in Central Alberta! It is tucked away right off highway 2, right between Edmonton and Calgary. All of their weddings are catered by the restaurant on site, The Westlake Grill. Heritage Ranch is known as “The Jewel of Red Deer," and they really do live up to their name!
Julia arrived at the Ceremony by horse-drawn carriage with her daughter, the flower girl. She was walked down the aisle by her two boys, and the rings were hand delivered by Barry’s son. Julia & Barry made sure to include their kids in the wedding festivities and it just made the day so special. They all participated in a sweet sand ceremony where they all poured sand into a jar to symbolize them coming together both in marriage but also as a family. All kind of emotions were felt throughout the day and it really shows looking back on their pictures.
I am blessed I was able to capture this chapter of their love story.
