Get to know the girl behind the lens

My name is Kim and I live in Central Alberta with my fiancé, two dogs and more cats than what is socially acceptable. I love being creative, creating connections, and making the most out of everyday moments.

When I’m not capturing love stories and special family moments you’ll find me with my fur babies, exploring the Canadian Rockies, thrifting, dancing, backcountry camping, rewatching my favourite Ghibli movies, and curating playlists for every vibe and feeling. Music is such a constant in my life.

Landscape and adventure photography is where my passion began while growing up on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. After moving to Alberta in 2012, I spent most of my weekends in the mountains, and my love for photography really blossomed. After 6 years with a starter camera, learning the basics and photographing my pets, family, friends, and travels, my interest in portrait photography really grew. I upgraded to a “big girl” camera, signed up for some online courses, and dove right in!!

Today my passion is capturing vibrant pictures of vibrant stories that you will cherish for years to come. I love capturing real, storytelling moments, with small, fun poses that let your true selves shine. My editing style focuses on vibrant, true colours, so your photographs will make those memories feel alive again - whether it’s in 10, 20, or 50+ years.

Enough about me though, I want to hear about YOU!

Mountains are my happy place

Nature is where my creativity really comes alive, and the Canadian Rockies are a constant source of inspiration for my work. I would love to photograph sessions in mountain settings like Kananaskis, Canmore, Lake Louise, Rocky Mountain House and beyond! If you’re dreaming of a mountain session, I’d love to plan something together!!

The mountains are calling! Lets go!
